    Penny and Rory's naming ceremony
I was chuffed to bits when Lynsey and Lyle asked me to conduct the naming ceremony for their two children, Penny and Rory.  I'd been to her Mum's home last year to do a naming for the children's cousin, Mason, and it was like visiting old friends.  I loved that one of the children has my name, too.  They were so good throughout the ceremony and I think everybody enjoyed a simple and heartfelt ceremony.  I know I did!

    James-Allan's naming ceremony
James-Allan Strachan's entry into the world was dramatic.  For his father, the night brought the additional excitement of getting chance help from his childhood hero.  So, by the time we celebrated his first birthday with a naming ceremony, this little boy already had a big story.  The lovely setting of Carberry Tower made a beautiful backdrop to the festivities.  Relatives read emotional readings and three candles were used to light the central one, by James-Allan's mum and dad and his

    Mason's naming ceremony
I really enjoyed working with Mason's Mum and Dad, Gayle and Joe, to write his naming ceremony.  Although we didn't meet in person before Mason's big event, I was excited to await his birth and chat to them online. On the day of the ceremony, cards were written for Mason to open on his 18th and a tree was planted in the garden for him. I will never forget standing on the decking of Elaine's house in the beautiful wild hills of Lanarkshire, even in sunshine, to conduct Mason's ceremony.  It was

    Harris's naming ceremony
Harris Sanders' naming ceremony took place on the morning after Hibs won the Scottish Cup for the first time in 114 years.  The green-themed party couldn't have been better timed!  I doubt any of that family will ever forget Harris's naming day.  He was stunning throughout and it was an absolute joy to watch his proud parents, Laura and Andy, with their precious boy.

    Oscar's naming ceremony
Oscar Rémy Thuau Jordan was seven weeks old when I conducted his naming ceremony on a sunny April morning, with a backdrop of the Firth of Forth and the Bass Rock.  It was a delightful ceremony. Oscar’s Mum and Dad had prepared beautiful booklets with the order of ceremony and readings in English and French. Sugared almonds from France and an exceptional cake baked by his maternal grandmother were both tasty and decorative. Guests hung cards on the cherry tree, which would be planted later. Best
